Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode of Paul or Nothing (with the help of a USB plugin keyboard) and I am excited to bring you my review, recounting and recanting of Mark Lewisohn's "Hornsey Road"! This live talk/lecture/performance, whatever you want to call it is a sneak peak at Lewisohns "Tune In" series, as he does a live deep dive on The Beatles final album, Abbey Road.
My special guest, long time friend of the show Matt Phillips, and I, were both lucky enough to catch the show on October 28th at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham, UK. This is our review, and we hope you enjoy the show. Well, our show and Lewisohn's!!!

A Conversation with Ken Michaels: Paul or Nothing Bonus Episode #25
Wednesday Sep 25, 2019
Wednesday Sep 25, 2019
Hey everyone!
As I will soon hear in greater detail, this recording was intended to be Part 2 of our exploration of Pipes of Peace where me and ken were to go through the album song by song.
...that most certainly did not happen.
Instead, enjoy my wonderfully casual conversation with Ken Michaels, aka the guy who was podcasting about the Beatles before podcasting about the Beatles, and indeed podcast themselves, were even a thing. He has a titan in Beatle media culture thanks to his tireless efforts in producing the most incredibly constant and high quality content ever made!
Check out Ken's radio show, "Every Little Thing", as well as all manner of exclusive interviews with the likes of Mark Lewisohn, Robert Rodriguez, and basically every other guest too big to come on this podcast! Find all that and more at https://kenmichaelsradio.com/about-ken.html.
Check out his Beatle podcast, "The Things We Said Today", on all podcasting apps, and at...
https://beatlesexaminer.podbean.com/
And finally, please show some love for "Talk More Talk"...

Thanks Ken!

Listen with Sam: McCartney (1970)
Sunday Sep 22, 2019
Sunday Sep 22, 2019
Hey everyone, as predicted our Pipes of Peace (1983) episode is taking a little longer than expected, so I thought I may try out a fun little format that I have been thinking about experimenting with for a while now.
Get your own copies of McCartney (1970) at the ready as you and me are going to listen to it together. Well, I say listen, I'm gonna be talking a whole lot too...

Wings Over Europe/Groningen 1972: Paul or Nothing Bonus Episode #24
Saturday Aug 03, 2019
Saturday Aug 03, 2019
We are back with another gig review, only this time I wanted to wrap up loose ends and cover everything and anything to do with the Wings Over Europe. In particular we will be highlighting my favourite performance from this whole tour in Groningen, The Netherlands.
Come and discover what a Paul McCartney live gig was like before they all became three hours long and ended with "Hey Jude".

"Yesterday" (2019) - Paul or Nothing Film Review: Episode #5.
Monday Jul 08, 2019
Monday Jul 08, 2019
Hey everyone! We're back for another film review, only this time it's for a film that is actually being watched by contemporary audiences! I know, right!?
Today we are here to talk about Danny Boyle's "Yesterday", written by Richard Curtis, and staring Himesh Patel, and Lily James. The film that asks the question, "What would you do if you were the only person on earth who knew about the Beatles. Whether the film answers those questions is another matter entirely....but yeah. Enjoy!
To shake things up I recorded this episode in two parts, one recorded before, and the other after I had seen the film. Let's see just how my expectations and guesswork lines up with the final product.
Peace and love.

Greetings everyone, and welcome to the long overdue interview with one of Beatledom's most notorious authors. I don't want to spoil anything, but a lot of people have a lot of opinions on this Geoffrey fellow, but don't take my word for it. This episode is straight from the horses mouth.
This is an exclusive interview that you will not find on any other podcast. Am I brave, or am I plain stupid? Only one way to find out.
Please enjoy my chat with Geoffrey Giuliano!!!

'Tug of War' - Paul Or Nothing Episode #14, Part 2/2.
Thursday Apr 18, 2019
Thursday Apr 18, 2019
This episode could not have been soon enough (soooon enough), soon enough for me.
Yes folks, after part 1 where we covered the background, production and reception of McCarney's first post-Wings effort, we are....cough cough 'Here Today' to take an analytical, song-by-song, look at the album itself.
After further delays here you are folks. Please enjoy. Peace and love, peace and love.

'Tug of War' - Paul Or Nothing Episode #14, Part 1/2.
Monday Feb 04, 2019
Monday Feb 04, 2019
Greetings fellow Paul bearers and welcome to the first of two instalments that explore the 1983 album by Paul McCartney, 'Tug of War'. This is a big album, and as you can see, it's going to be an equally large episode.
In this episode we cover...
- The assassination of John Lennon.
- The "break up" of Wings.
- The Denny Laine Incident.
- The recording of the album, including working with Stevie Wonder & Carl Perkins.
- The album artwork.
- The critical reception.
- ....and I will try not to give my opinions away too early.
This one, as many as you know, has taken a loooong time to come out, but I hope the wait was worth it! Please enjoy....

The Videography of Paul McCartney: Egypt Station special with Matt Phillips!
Thursday Jan 31, 2019
Thursday Jan 31, 2019
Hi, hi, hi folks and yet again it is time for even more chit chat about Paul and his music videos. Obviously, we are leaping ahead in time a bit compared to our last videography episode, but I simply could not wait to get to Egypt Station the fair way, so here we are. Believe me folks, todays collection is an...interesting bunch to say the least!
Today's videos will include....
- 'I Don't Know'/'Come On To Me' lyric videos.
- 'Come On To Me, #Elsa, #Ali, #Fred'
- 'Fuh You'
- 'Back in Brazil'
- 'Who Cares'
I will not be alone either. You may remember Matt Phillips from our Glastonbury gig review a few months ago, but even if you don't, take my word, he's a proper Macca-head and one of my favourite guests to have back on the show.
